1. Deep Clean – start at the ceiling and work your way down. Dont for get the Ceiling fans and light fixtures & Wash the globes it makes a Hugh difference. Clean the carpet, drapes and windows. Dust the tops of the base boards. a clean home shows great.

2. De-decorate, reomve clutter and unload some furniture. Removing family photos, and wall hanging art, clearing counter tops, shower stalls and bath tubs along with other areas that collect clutter. Keep just what you need and pack the rest for your new home.  A clean and declttered home helps the buyers to mentally move in with their things. Sometime rearranging furniture in a crowded or small room makes it feel larger. Look at this from the buyers eyes.

3. Landscape preperation. Again work from the top down. Clean your gutters and siding. Repair any wood rot. examine your plants, prune bushes and trees, reove dead or unhealty plants. Add fresh mulch aand keep the lawn mowed and groomed. Make those deferred maintaince items go away before they become an issue.

4. Add the final touches. We are about done – bring out your guest towel or buy some inexpensive ones to coordinate in the bathroom. Now set the mood make sure you find a good music station on your radio or television. Turn on all the lights and open the shades/drapes on the aappropreate windows to allow the buyer to enjoy your home while viewing it.

These items make your home stand out in the buyers eyes and memories. Helping your self through preperation give you the best chance of selling your home IT IS WORTH IT.
